Among the most beautiful towns in the world, Hallstatt, Austria is a postcard picture around every corner. Located in Austria's mountainous Salzkammergut region, many of the houses date back to the 16th century. The beautiful harmony of the quiant village, the mountains in the background and the clear water of the lake make for spectacular scenery and a feeling of wanting to go there. Scenery like this often makes for difficult puzzles because of the water, mountains and blue sky but in this case, an aerial view from above Gosaumühlstrasse helps to minimize the sky and gives more content to the image. In this, we have a lot of reflection in the water of the town as well as a boat to break up the water. The mountains have more green to them than they would in the winter so there is also some wonderful color there. The puzzle is built with the town first using the shapes and colors of the buildings as reference. The reflection will help with the water near the town and the mountains behind the buildings will come from that. So the image is built from the right side to the left most likely. The mountains and the sky will be the most challenging but the finished puzzle is so beautiful that the journey will be worth it. 1,500 piece jigsaw puzzle.
