Was skeptical because it was so reasonably priced. It is a beautiful puzzle. Vibrant, glossy . Pieces fit nicely together. Worth every penny.

I love the video game series Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi! I have spent much of my early adulthood (when I found the games for Playstation) pretending to be a warrior from China or Japan and laying down justice and vengeance over the landscape of ancient Asia. So when I stumbled upon this puzzle on SeriousPuzzles.com, I stopped dead in my tracks, immediately blown away by the mesmerizing display of a warrior endowed with confidence, allure, and expertise. I could not wait to get my hands on this beautifully dangerous puzzle, and it (and SunsOut) exceeded my expectations! Delivery The puzzle was delivered priority mail and came in a reasonable timeframe, with no issues with tracking or reaching my home. The box was sized accordingly for a SunsOut puzzle. The puzzle box itself was not damaged in any way. Packaging The puzzle pieces came in a plastic bag. The puzzle box serves as the picture for reference. There was also a customer service support card inside from SunsOut. Pieces -Construction These pieces are thick, heavy, and multilayered, comparable to Ravensburger’s pieces, made from recycled cardboard (SunsOut in the middle, Ravensburger on bottom, Cra-Z-Art on top). -Puzzle Dust There is slight puzzle dust to deal with upon opening the puzzle bag. I found that I only needed about two minutes of running the pieces through a colander to remove the majority of the dust and had no issues with the pieces afterward on the table during and after the puzzle’s assembly. -Appearance These pieces were made with a semi-gloss finish, so shining them with a lamp did not create problems while assembling the puzzle, which was necessary when working with the gradient sections to determine which color went where. The pieces are also cut in funky shapes with no simple grid pattern to follow which I found delightful the more involved I became in solving the puzzle. Image Quality The image render was spectacular! Every intricate detail in the puzzle was crisp and sharp, which made the puzzle pop and stand out in dazzling display when far away. Assembly I started putting the puzzle together with the frame first, then built the puzzle in this order: dress (which proved futile), Yukikaze, bow, white section in dress, mountains, light-blue section in dress, blue sections in dress, birds, sky. I had so much fun with assembling the puzzle because of the funky cuts! I started with the all-white section, in which I quickly discovered that To finish this puzzle, I had to solve mini-puzzles within the puzzle, as it took putting some pieces together to find where other pieces needed to go. The puzzle pieces were not tight enough to lift chunks of the puzzle from one place to another, but it did not hinder the assembly process. I enjoyed this puzzle so much! Replay Value I would put this puzzle together again in a heartbeat! The artistic nature of this puzzle is certainly frame-worthy and will find its way on my wall. But if someone asked me if I wanted to put it together again, I would say yes. I expect to have the same joy the second time around. Satisfaction Overall, this puzzle gets a 9/10 from me. I am deeply satisfied with the solve, and the picture leaves me spellbound. The pieces are sturdy and thick, and cut in a way that turns the puzzle into a series of mini-puzzles. The pieces do have locking issues at times, but not to the point of inconvenience. The details are crisp enough to where it is easy to know where a piece is supposed to go. SunsOut has made a lifelong patron out of me with this puzzle. I cannot wait to solve another one from them!
