Challenging, but had enough character that it was enjoyable
Excellent-quality puzzle: well-fitting, sturdy pieces, no glare on surface. Beautiful when finished. I have ordered (through seriouspuzzles.com) 4 more puzzles by Vermont Christmas Company - because of their quality and beautiful scenes, and also because of the excellent customer service I experienced with seriouspuzzles.com when I had a defective puzzle by another manufacturer. Customer service this good is rare nowadays! Finally, orders ship quickly!
This is an attractive 1000-piece puzzle. However, my husband and I, who worked on this together, both thought that the colors were a bit faded and didn't quite match the cover photo, making it more difficult. Also, there were some pieces that fit in more than one way, causing a few errors. It just didn't seem as high-quality as other puzzles we have done. It was a very challenging, difficult puzzle!
