The Quarks Cube is made from plastic spheres, that move like a Rubik's cube. The object of this puzzle is to scramble up all of the colors and then return it back to its original starting position. Unlike most rotational puzzles, the starting position is not a solid color on each face; the goal of this puzzle is to make it so that there is only one of each color on every face, vertical line, and horizontal line. It's like a 3-D color-based sudoku puzzle!
The Quarks Cube is manufactured by Meffert’s Rotational Puzzles. Uwe Meffert, born in Wernigerode, Germany, not only manufactures the puzzles, but has designed many of his own puzzles as well.
