There was low visibility due to almost no moonlight and no binoculars, coupled with a dangerously calm sea on that fateful night. Undoubtedly, all of that factored in to the Titanic's unfortunate meeting with the iceberg. Unfortunately, there were also mistakes, reckless behavior, and even instances of dishonorable service that contributed to the unnecessarily high casualty count.

One mistake was that First Officer Murdoch ordered the engines in reverse, as well as ordering the ship to turn hard to port, in order to dodge the iceberg. If he'd kept full speed it is thought that he would have made the turn with room to spare.

Masterpieces Puzzle Company has been producing jigsaws for almost two decades and continually earns their reputation for inventive and quality products. Their puzzles are made using board that contains 100% recycled post-consumer content, printing is done with soy-based inks, gloss coating is 100% water based, and the pieces are stored within a biodegradable bag.
