In his long, remarkable career, Wolf Kahn (American, b. Germany, 1927–2020) created hundreds of landscape paintings that effuse glowing color, inviting us to experience light and trees, barns and rivers in new ways. Kahn was a maverick in how he filled the canvas. (He once said, “I enjoy making something austere and dramatic out of the color pink.”) His unique approach of employing spontaneity while creating representational scenes produced a body of work that is as pleasurable as it is deeply moving. Among his many accolades are a Fulbright Scholarship, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and US State Department International Medal of Art. His work is regularly exhibited at galleries and museums across North America and can be found in the collections of many leading institutions.

We loved the puzzle itself. Right balance of challenge. My feedback is about the quality of the pieces. They are soft and small pieces tend to get easily damaged.
This is, perhaps, the most difficult 1,000 piece puzzle I have finished. It is also absolutely gorgeous. Plan on some extra time for this one!
Beautiful colors, the perfect pastime at the shore.
